Injury got you down? Here's how to still win the day!

We all have days where we have physical or mental issues which challenge us; but often life doesn't stop for us.

The kids still need to be picked up from soccer, we have a presentation at work, or we need to provide caregiving for friends or family. So what do we do when we need to keep going?

I shot this video on a day where a flare-up from a herniated disc made me put all my wellness techniques into play. I had to let go of a lot of "to do list" tasks, but I still managed to teach three yoga classes and reach out to some important folks in my life about a few projects.

Here's tips to keep you in action!

1. Give yourself permission to shut down as soon as you need it-catching problems earlier will result in a better health outcome and keep you serving at top levels. Having this permission, in advance, will keep you happy and productive!

2. Build some flex time into your schedule. Take your schedule where it is currently, and think about ways you can build a little time for your health and wellness.

3. Ask for help. Make sure you have a team of people that help you with your …family, friends, care providers like chiropractor, Traditional Chinese Medicine, energy workers, physical therapy, personal trainers. They want to help so let them!

4. Make sure that you discharge stress and tension before you go to bed so your sleep is restful !
